Birthday Gift for =Chibi-Metal

Yay, I finally did it! >w<
I know, I'm a week too late, but I guess that doesn't really matter. |3 Belated B-day gifts are much more common than early B-day gifts.

It's already been a while since I drew the sketch for this picture. It was three weeks ago when Anne herself was here, to be exact. XD I even started the lineart when she was gone, but there was so much school stuff to do later on, and I didn't even have one free weekend since then.
So now I took the last few days to finally get this done.

__About the Picture:__

I have to say, my coloring was pretty sloppy this time. Usually I fill in every oh so small colorless gap, especially in these damn corner parts. But this time... XDD
Anyway, after randomly RPing quite much with Anne lately, using her characters Blade and Genesis being together with the fictional version of my RL cat Kitty, I got the idea to draw this picture. Kitty is a very agressive cat which rarely is ready to be nice and cuddly. But in our RPs she only gets along with Genesis XD
I tried to make Kitty look as much as possible like the real Kitty. And I think that worked pretty well. xD
For those who don't see it: There are scratches from a fight with Kitty on Blade's head. XD
For the shading style I tried to mix some different styles together. It's nothing special really, but I like the shading on Blade. I allowed myself to give him a bit more shiny highlights as he's a robot and therefore of course out of metal~ *w*
For the background, it took me quite a while to get a good idea. All I had in mind was letting Genesis and Kitty sit on rocks, as otherwise it actually wouldn't be logical that Kitty's sitting further down than Genesis. xD
Later on I got the idea of a pier, and suddenly had the image of the lake Mjörn in my mind - a lake we were at, when we were in Sweden.
So I gave my best to draw something similar out of my memory. It could be better, especially as it now looks so simple and not as it was meant to be, but all in all I think it's okay. When looking at it now, I can't believe that I really spent almost 7 hours on that. @@;;
In the end I like the elements in the back the most. Speaking of the mountain and the clouds. I'm also quite satisfied with the rocks. But to my mind, the palm-tree, the pier and the water look rather lazy done. =w=
