Birthday Gift for *Shadowhog
May MariaXLuther last forever~ :heart:

[EDIT]: Made a better photo of it and submitted that one. See the old version here: [link]

3 months have passed and finally I got this done~ : D
No! No... I did NOT work on this all these 3 months... but I did the sketch for it already 3 months ago at the end of the 4th week of summer vacations.

So well... Since the summer vacations much time has passed and many things have happened and changed. But Maria and Luther are still a couple and hopefully will be for very long~
Say yes to their everlasting love~ <3

I'm sorry about the bad quality, as I suck in taking photos... at least of pictures. =3=
At least now the colors are a bit better~

__About the Picture:__
This picture seriously has one of the weirdest stories ever.
When I did the sketch I was actually just planning to TEST what the picture could look like, but I ended up drawing and drawing and so I was sitting at this for about 4 hours... twice as long as I would take for a normal picture I already put a lot of effort in. Later on I scanned the pic, made it a bit bigger and printed it out again. And then... I seriously test-colored it! o_o; Although I already expected that it would probably end up ways too great for a test I did it anyway. And it DID end up too good. I even thought about using this test version as final one, but there was one problem: When scanning the sketch a part of the background was seen as well so they had text going all over their faces... and the lines were still all sketchy and stuff.
So I left the pic as it was, as about 2 or 3 weeks ago I took it out again and traced the sketch onto a clean piece of papier, which I then inked carefully. Many pen-swaps, mistakes and other troubling moments later I was finally done and scanned the finished lineart, which had three major reasons:
  1. I could NEVER color an original sketch/lineart, as I'm always afraid of making mistakes
  2. The lineart turned out too good to just give it away... ;A;
  3. There were some mistakes to fix here and tehre with Photoshop anyway
Sooo~ of course I printed the fixed lineart (once agaaiiin~ 8D) and started to color it. In the beginning when I had finished Maria's hair and fur I seriously thought that the previous try had been better but now it's the whole opposite of it. I really love the outcome although Luther's fur color killed me once again because I always had to mix black and blue... which sucks to do with colored pencils >.<;;
Anyway... then two or three days ago I was done with the coloring and started working on the background. This was my very first try to draw a hand colored background for a picture... and I swear, it's HELL! :noes: I think I'll never draw such clouds with colored pencils or in any other traditional way ever again. :XD:
But all in all I have to say... it was fun~ owo

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BJÖRN~!!!!!!:cake:
